Grandweld Lays Keel for ADNOC’s 42m Crew Boat

first_imgApril 22, 2014 zoom Grandweld, a fully integrated shipyard providing shipbuilding, ship repair, and engineering solutions, has laid keel for ADNOC’s (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company) 42m Aluminum Crew Boat.Contract for the vessel was signed on December 31st 2013, and the keel laying ceremony was held on April 17th 2014.The vessel will be powered by three high speed diesel engines driving three fixed pitch propellers and capable of developing a speed in excess of 21 knots. The boat shall be a Fast Crew Boat with diving support capability to provide various services required in the offshore operations.The vessel has 30 persons crew seating capacity, more than 100 sqm loading area for over 90 Tons of deck cargo requirements, and specially designed wheelhouse and crew cabins to achieve highest quality standards and maximum space utilization and comfort.Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for December 31, 2014.The vessels will be operated by ADNOC, and will be utilized to transport personnel and support offshore oil & gas operations.last_img read more

Sixth annual Brock Cares Day of Service scheduled for Sept 20

The sixth annual Brock Cares Day of Service is scheduled for Sept. 20. Hosted by Student Life and Community Experience, faculty and staff are invited to join hundreds of students who will register for the opportunity to show that Brock cares by volunteering and giving back to the Niagara community.Additionally, anyone who is part of, or has ties with any community agency or organization that has a project happening or would benefit from having a group of volunteers for a few hours is asked to contact organizers.Contributing agencies from the September 2013 event included Lincoln County Humane Society, United Way, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Niagara Wine Festival, Canadian Blood Services and many more.
